Membership
New Members
We welcome all mature and responsible people over 18 years of age to join our Club, and of course we welcome all members affiliated through other Conservative Clubs. As with all private members' Clubs it is usual for new members to be proposed and seconded by existing members. If for some reason you do not know any existing members talk to one of our Committee Members and we will look at each circumstance on its merit.
Come along and visit the Club as a guest before joining and if you would like to join complete the downloadable Application Form and send it to The Secretary at the address given.
You will then be invited to an interview and, if recommended by the Membership Committee and accepted by the monthly General Committee, you will receive full Club Privileges within our Club Rules. The current fees are given below but are not due from you until after acceptance by the General Committee.
Fees
Our fees are payable by 1st January each year and reminders will be sent to members in December of the previous year. New members need only pay pro rata the full rate, the amount depending on which month they join.
In 2009 members voted in favour of a single class membership which simplified the system and reduced costs for some. Despite financial pressures the Club has not increased membership fees for several years, and has not done so for the forthcoming year. However, the car park may not be available from the end of June due to building works and is limited to six months. These charges have increased for this period in order to support the Club during the transition period and is still cheaper than the Pay and Display method if parking for more than 2 hours a week.
| Single Class Membership | £45 per person if paid before end 2009, after which vat will be increased |
| Car Park | £60 for six months to June 30th |
Car Park
The car park Permit facility is only available to bone fide members of the Conservative Club that pay for the permit benefit, otherwise it is Pay and Display fees in accordance with the Car Park Notice.
